WEP Is Closing!
It is with huge regret that I have to announce that West Euston Project (formerly West Euston Partnership, WEP) will finally close its doors on the 31 March 2022.
Our organisation was established to support the West Euston community in Camden in 1992 and since then our One-Stop-Shop has been a prominent feature on Hampstead Road. I sincerely hope that you all have good memories of participating in WEP’s activities, whether that is taking a ride on our bikes around Regent’s Park, singing in or listening to the Community Choir, using our computers and after school clubs or engaging with our information and advice services. I, myself lived on Drummond Street for over 15 years and for me WEP has always felt like the hub of our community. Personally, my favourite memories will always be the fantastic festivals at the HPod and Cumberland Market. They were always great fun and an opportunity for a good get together. I will miss those events very much.
It has been a wonderful 30 years and we are very proud of the services that we have offered to West Euston residents over that time. The sad fact is that we are simply unable to survive in these financially challenging times. We very much hope that other organisations will be able to continue some of the services we offer within the area. Please check this newsletter and the London Borough of Camden website for further information signposting replacement services.
Finally, I would like to send a heartfelt thanks to every reader of this newsletter and everyone that has engaged with our organisation over the last three decades. I am deeply sorry that WEP now has to say goodbye and I would like to thank WEP’s staff and trustees and everybody in our community for all their hard work and support over the years.
Ruth Siddall, Chair of the Board of Trustees for West Euston Project.
