Volunteer Co-Ordinator Role Outline:

If you do, or you don’t, we are currently recruiting for the role of volunteer co-ordinator.
You will be the first point of contact for managing the volunteers working on our reception desk. We have 8-12 receptionists at any one time, all of whom need ongoing support. This will be a large part of your role alongside being responsible for interviewing and recruiting new receptionists as needed. As well, you will be showing new receptionists the ropes and making sure they have a full induction.
We ask for a commitment of 2 days a week for 6 months, although we do understand you may be seeking paid employment and cannot make a guaranteed undertaking for that length of time.
You will receive training via Volunteer Centre Camden, specialists in volunteer management, to equip you with general skills for a Volunteer Coordinator. This could lead to paid work in a similar role or as an administrator in a community setting.
- You will gain experience of people management as well as a good grasp of services within the Camden area.
- You will have access to our Employment Outreach worker who can assist you with all aspects of finding employment.
- After 3 months, you will be entitled to a reference.
- We reimburse fares and offer lunch-time expenses if you are working for more than 4 hours in a day.
